Let us come before the Lord, truly present to us in the Most Blessed Sacrament, with all our many prayers and petitions for healing and peace within us and among us.  Let us have confidence in the power of the Most Holy Eucharist to deliver us from evil and set us free for the works of the Gospel.

SCHEDULE

12:05 PM        Holy Mass in the Basilica followed by Exposition of the Most Blessed Sacrament until 5 PM

Votive Mass of the Preservation of Peace and Justice

All priests are welcome to concelebrate.

The Most Blessed Sacrament will be solemnly exposed for adoration until 5:00 PM with the prayer of the Holy Rosary during each hour according to these intentions:

  • 1-2 PM – Hour of Prayer for an End to Violence in our Neighborhoods (Joyful Mysteries; led by the Nepomuceno family)
  • 2-3 PM – Hour of Prayer for an End to Divisions in our Families and Communities (Luminous Mysteries; led by the Tolton Ambassadors)
  • 3-4 PM – Hour of Prayer for the Protection of Human Life, Marriage and the Family (Sorrowful Mysteries; led by the Sisters of Life)
  • 4-5 PM – Hour of Prayer for an Outpouring of the Gift of Reconciliation in Our Nation (Glorious Mysteries; led by the Cathedral Young Adults)

Priests, deacons, consecrated men and women, parish groups, families, individuals are invited to come for a period of adoration and pray together before the Savior and Redeemer for the intention of healing and peace.

5:00 PM          Simple Reposition of the Most Blessed Sacrament

5:15 PM          Holy Mass in the Basilica for Sunday
